Yes, we treat patients under a range of funding and referral schemes, including Chronic Disease Management (Care Plans), WorkCover, TAC and DVA.
Requirements and billing arrangements can vary depending on the scheme. Please bring any relevant referral paperwork or claim details to your appointment, or contact the clinic prior to booking if you’re unsure what applies to you.

No, you do not need a referral to see an osteopath. You can book an appointment directly with us at Geelong Osteopathy & Movement without seeing a GP first.
If you have been referred by a GP or specialist, or have relevant imaging or reports, you’re welcome to bring these along to your appointment.

To perform a thorough assessment, we need to see how your joints and muscles move.
Ideal attire: Loose-fitting, comfortable clothing or activewear (e.g., shorts, leggings, or a singlet).
Privacy: We always prioritise your comfort and provide towels for draping if any clothing needs to be moved to access a specific area.

Yes, osteopathy is covered by most Australian private health insurance providers under extras cover.
We offer on-the-spot HICAPS claiming, so you’ll only need to pay the gap on the day. Rebates vary depending on your health fund and level of cover.

We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the body’s joints, muscles and nervous system.
Common conditions we see include back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, sports injuries, sciatica and nerve pain, headaches and jaw pain (TMJ). Treatment is always tailored to your individual presentation and goals.

Your first appointment involves a thorough discussion of your symptoms, medical history and what you’d like to achieve from treatment.
This is followed by a physical assessment to identify contributing factors. Treatment may include hands-on osteopathic techniques, movement-based therapy and exercise advice. We’ll also explain our findings and outline a clear plan moving forward.

If you have a Medicare CDM (EPC) plan or a DVA/WorkSafe referral, please bring the paperwork provided by your GP.

Standard appointment - $110 (40 mins)
GP care plan appointments - $90 (40 mins)
