Meet James Hall: Osteopath in Belmont, Geelong

James Hall, Osteopath at Geelong Osteopathy & Movement in Belmont, providing musculoskeletal care and sports injury rehabilitation.

My Philosophy

“I believe that effective healthcare should be unique to each individual. My approach to Osteopathy is built on the foundation that your body is a connected unit. Whether you are dealing with a sudden injury or a long-standing chronic condition, I focus on finding the "why" and root cause behind your pain— not just treating the symptoms.”

Clinical Experience & Expertise

  • Throughout my career, I have worked across both dedicated exercise rehabilitation settings and traditional osteopathic clinics. This diverse background allows me to bridge the gap between "hands-on" manual therapy and "active" recovery.

    • Acute Neck & Back Pain: Assessment and management of stiff painful joints or acute muscle spasm.

    • Nerve Pain & Spinal Conditions: My Master’s research focused on spinal presentations involving nerve pain, giving me a deep understanding of nerve related pain.

    • Disc Injury Management: Manual therapy and structured recovery plans for spinal disc bulges and irritations.

    • Jaw Pain (TMJ): Addressing the link between jaw tension, neck pain, and headaches.

    • Sports & Soft Tissue Injuries: Helping Geelong’s active community return to sport with confidence.

    • Desk & Office Workers: Managing the "static load" of office work, including neck & shoulder dysfunction, tension headaches, and mouse-related wrist pain.

    • Trades & Manual Labor: Helping those in physically demanding jobs manage repetitive strain and heavy lifting injuries.

    • Postural Correction: Addressing the long-term changes associated with sustained sitting or standing.

  • I utilise a wide range of skilled manual therapy techniques paired with individualised exercise prescription and patient education. My goal is to reduce your pain in the short term through hands-on techniques, while building the strength and resilience you need for long-term recovery.
